PhD in an Hour | At Home in Scotland Edition
At Home in Scotland: Stories of Place recently teamed up with Just Festival and Beltane Public Engagement Network to offer a final storytelling hurrah as part of its public engagement activities. For one night only, our researchers took over Just Festival's monthly 'PhD in an Hour'; this event, in which a group of PhD students chatted about their research with members of the public over tea and cake in the delightful Lovecrumbs café on West Port, was the concluding event of this public engagement project.
This event, which took place from 6-7pm, Wednesday, 3rd September 2014, was a storming success. In attendance were project organisers Alison Garden, Muireann Crowley and fabulous storyteller Erin Farley, along with Fayaz S. Alibhai, Sophie Cooper, Anna Feintuck, Sarah Laurenson, Iris Marchand, and Cormac Ó Callanáin. |
